Manufacturers pump out exciting and exotic cars every year, but there comes a time when even the most popular of models become a thing of the past. Companies make this decision as sales for these models decline, choosing to retire their cars and cease production. 5. Volkswagen Touareg
From 2015 to 2019, sales for the Touareg declined 97.73%. Only 160 sales were made in 2019, which means it’s likely that Volkswagen will drop this model from its lineup. The Touareg is a mid-size luxury SUV, developed in combination with Audi and Porsche to combine the fun of a sports car with off-road capabilities.
Its looks have changed since the model’s 2002 inception, with a second- generation being released in 2010. Hybrid and limited versions have helped sales, but now the SUV is quickly being outdone by more modern varieties in gas mileage and features.

4. Volkswagen CC

3. Chrysler 200
With only 48 total sales in 2019, Chrysler’s 200 experienced a decline of 99.97% in sales from 2015 to last year. This five-passenger mid-sized car was launched in 2011, receiving a massive overhaul in infotainment and advanced safety features in 2015.
With an exceptional NHTSA and IIHS ratings, one might think this car would be around for a while. However, Chrysler announced they would not be making any more 200s in 2017 because they weren’t making the company enough money. Now, time is running out to pick up this car before supplies run out.
2. Jeep Patriot
The Patriot lost 99.98% of its sales from 2015 to 2019, only having 27 models sold in that last year. The five-door compact crossover enjoyed plenty of success in 2007, as well an excellent facelift in 2011, but 2017 was the final year of production for this model.
It was replaced by the Jeep Compass due to a lack of sales from decreased NHTSA safety ratings in the 2013 model. SUVs like this model remain popular in colder states, like Colorado, but the Patriot is on its way out with limited stock left. 1. Dodge Dart
The Dodge Dart shares the same decline in sales as the Jeep Patriot. However, it only saw sixteen models sold in 2019. This was an exceptionally budget-friendly model from Dodge, though consumers could opt for higher-level features.
In 2016, Fiat Chrysler ended production of the Dart. Whatever stock is left is what’s available. Consumers clearly enjoy other Dodge models like the Challenger and Charger over a simple sedan.
